How is Cosmelan Dermamelan Applied?

Cosmelan and Dermamelan enzyme peels come in personalized packages. The kit contains an enzyme peeling mask, a restorative cream, a follow-up cream for home use, and a high protection factor sunscreen.

The enzyme peeling mask is applied by the dermatologist to the whole face, focusing more on the area where the spot is located. The mask remains on the face or applied area for an average of 8-12 hours, depending on the spot. It is then rinsed off with warm water and the follow-up cream, restorative cream and sunscreen are applied during the day as recommended by the dermatologist. The follow-up cream should be used for at least 3 months. The sunscreen cream should be used both in summer and winter.

What happens to the skin after Cosmelan – Dermamelan Enzyme Peeling?

Slight redness is normal after rinsing the mask. Redness, itching, burning, edema and scaling may occur. These symptoms will diminish with the restorative cream. These symptoms diminish in approximately 1 week – 10 days. Social life is not affected.

When will the effects of Cosmelan-Dermamelan enzyme peeling be visible?
After about 1 week, the spots start to lighten, and after 2-3 weeks the skin becomes clearer, brighter and refreshed. After 4 weeks, the spots are 80% lightened.
